3-Ingredient Fruit Dip

fruit and dip 3Spring means extra lovely fruits are arriving at the grocery stores. Big red strawberries have already been on sale a few times lately and the blueberries will be soon to follow. I am a BIG fan of fruit all on its own, but sometimes, for a party or other gathering, it is nice to add some dip to make it extra special.

Who doesn’t love dip?

strawberry 1For some reason, most people love to dip–chips, vegetables, fruit, crackers… Of course, it does come with some hazards. Remember the Seinfeld episode with the “double-dipping” drama? As it turns out, Timmy wasn’t as crazy as he might have seemed in that episode; double dip all you want at home with your own dip, but do not do it at a party. 🙂

This fruit dip is just a simple combination of three basic ingredients. It has a creamy almost caramelly texture and taste. I think it tastes particularly good on grapes and apples, but dip whatever you like. I have been making this dip for years for showers, brunches, and other gatherings. It is always a hit.

  1. If this the dip you’ve served us at book club, it is delicious. I like a three ingredient recipe — even I would make this!

    • I’m sure I have served it for book club over the years. It is my go-to fruit dip. I’ve tried maybe one or two others in the past, but this is the one I make regularly.
