Biscoff {Cookie Butter} Blondies

bar plateAre you familiar with cookie butter? It’s quite brilliant actually.

It is similar to peanut butter which is peanuts that have been ground up until becoming butter. Cookie butter is cookies that have been ground up until becoming butter. So you use ground up cookies in your cookies or bars or on a piece of toast or even just on a spoon. Sounds good, huh?

It is.

Chicken Noodle Soup

bowl of soupIt’s winter. It’s cold. What tastes better than a warm bowl of soup?

I am a big fan of soup. It’s warm and comforting, and it usually contains all of the elements for a complete meal in one pot. And what other than chicken noodle soup could be the quintessential soup? It’s what we want when we are cold, especially when we have a cold, right?

Cooked Chicken {for soup, casseroles, other recipes}

cookedMany recipes that I make regularly and many recipes that I have posted here include “cooked chicken” as an ingredient. When I was first learning to cook, that ingredient kind of scared me. Cooked? Cooked how? Why? If it’s already cooked, then what am I doing now with this recipe; I thought I was about to cook, not already cooked? I don’t have time to cook chicken now.

I have learned and grown since then.

Wonton Pizza Cupcakes

finished 2Like most kids, my kids love pizza almost anytime anywhere. I have a whole section of my recipe binder that is titled “Pizza,” and I have found that it comes in many different formats. Of course there is regular pizza, but there are also things such as pizza puffs, pizza rolls, pizza casserole, tortilla pizza, pizza logs, pizza monkey bread, and today–pizza cupcakes.

Taco Soup

serving 4If you can open a can, you can probably make this soup. Lucky for me, I have a manual can opener; otherwise, I may be out of luck. For some reason, I seem to be completely incapable of operating an electric can opener. Am I the only one? I don’t know what the deal is, but I can never get the can to attach to the opener right. I figure I can open three or four cans manually by the time I get one can to latch on to an electric opener, so why bother?
